Everyone needs to vent, so vent away! Just don't insult other members please! Don't use this as flame bait either.
So my stepfather bought a 1993 Ford Escort off a friend at work and it was supposed to be $800 and run good. We test drove it and it ran well. Well after that, the car had died due to the alternator. That got fixed but the car is down again. Idk if the guy is swindling us money since we bought the car for $800 but now were paying an additional $200 for repairs and that makes it $1000 total now for the car. It's also a full month since we last drove it and it's painfully frustrating that this car, which was to be the car to TEACH ME HOW TO DRIVE, is constantly going down all the time WHEN APPARENTLY EVERYTHING WAS FIXED! -_-;;
$1000 pretty much wasted. Maybe we can get the car and scrap it to recuperate losses. I wish I had money to buy a better car for $4000.

well, you get what you pay for I guess, if you get a car for 4000 you probably have less trouble with it too. just make sure to save up that money to get a better car and save more money on repairs if that makes any sense.
also, money is part of the problem I'm having with my life right now too. I have just come out of the military a few months ago, and got a pretty good record there. I was in the royal guard, which you would think ranked high when applying for jobs. So I see grocery stores asking for people to doing the simplest task, like putting wares onto the shelves and ask customers for their reciepts when they are done shopping. Allright, so I applied for these jobs, and many more similiar like my interests, like electronic stores and stuff like that. Not a god damn single one wants me to work with them. I got some interviews but what does that help me when I still got no real job. (I got a job as a bouncer but its only on weekends, but god bless my boss there for hiring me) So when I go to the grocery stores I applied at to only see which kind of people they hire, I see they hire people with special needs. And I start to think, "oh, so I'm that shitty employee that they would rather hire someone with special needs than a guy who protected the king?" It doesn't make any sense what so ever. I am furious about this, since I follow every rule in the "get a job" textbook. And I worked in stores that do far beyond what they do in a regular grocery store. Getting a rejection today also ruins my day a bit so thanks for this thread you made, because it's good to get this shit down, even though I dunno if anyone reads it.
EDIT: sorry for bad english

@Slash: Woah. What country are you from?
Also in terms of job apps and everything, I noticed in the US that many employers want previous experience and no one has the time to train, which is stupid. It means none of us can career change because we don't have the experience to do so. Argh.
Mini rant from me: My stepfather said I worship my video games because Final Fantasy happens to have different gods in it than the one true God from Christianity. I am not stupid enough to believe that a video game god is real. I don't wanna debate if mine is real, but the point is I'm tired of people of my own faith judging me for supposedly "worshipping" false gods as if I am a neanderthal (SP?).

I'm from norway, and about the job apps, yeah it's almost like this here too, like; you gotta have 3 years experience and also just come out of school. But I hear about unpaid internships in america and thats sort of a bitch, that's almost like slavery IMO. But I live in a country where most of us get at least 12-14 dollars an hour

Which branch of the military where you in?
"Who am I to tell you something that you already know?
Who am I to tell you 'Hold on' when you wanna let go?
Who am I? I'm just a sicko with a song in my head and it keeps playing again and again and again and again."
