Buuuut I think you should watch Breaking Bad first. It kind of helps making the overlying story be more compelling (and kind of sad, in a good way). Also, Breaking Bad is just a wonderful show that stays strong from beginning to end.

EDIT: Ended up binge watching the show. Thought it was great. Would definitely recommend people power through the beginning cause it gets really interesting later on.
