That...still gives them the win.
Anyway, had a good Iron Banner. Got to rank 4, could've gone to rank 5 but eh, didn't feel like it. And I bought Jolder's Hammer and got Radegast's Fury as a drop and re-rolled both to get some good perks on them. If I had more motes of light I probably would have kept re-rolling until I got the best possible perks for the Fury (Grenades & Horseshoes, which I have, and Tripod) but maybe if I get more I will. Bought the cloak as well so that for the next Iron Banner, I can max out my rep gains.
Also tried Bladedancer despite some apprehension and combined my setup with The Last Word, my recently ascended Matador 64, and my Exodus Plan RS/1 and it worked out pretty well. I think I'm gonna be just fine running Bladedancer in Iron Banner next time it rolls around.

OH SHIT, NO! REALLY?!
WHY THE FUCK DID I LEAVE?!
WE SHOULD HAD WAITED CHECKMATED FOR THE REMAINING 6 MINUTES FOR THEM TO WIN ANYWAY!

BTRD-345
Best Machine Gun since the The Swarm.
I saw this bad boy and knew I had to get it.
The stability shits on The Swarm just by Default.
Gotten it, Forged it, which only took me two motes.
Decked it out.
But still haven't put it into use yet, I'm scared to abandon my baby.
Now I got two. One still needs to be re-rolled for elemental purposes.
Finally got a Ill Will. Wanted it since the last Iron Banner.
But it's a bit too late now since I'm not going to have time to level it up and use it.
Gheleon's Demise
I saw it, got it, interested for the impact which is slightly better than the "Vision of Confluence". Thinking that "Man, if only there's a Vision of Confluence" but just a bit more powerful. Got my wish, but unfortunately, I'm still doing shit.
All that work and a wasted Etheric Light for nothing.
Iron Banner has taught me to be a Sniperfag. I can't win close up battles. None of the Primary guns work for me. One Hit Fusions? LOL doesn't work for me. Sniping is my last option. I'm doing alright I guess...
Now thinking about it. Pulse Rifles is my last option for Primaries. Which I lack of. Red Death some times work...Bad JuJu is so not happening.
Titan And Warlock are Rank 5.
Hunter is still on Rank 3. Need to Rank her up to snag the Cloak and Etheric Light.

I too have a reforged BTRD and I used it a bunch going for the machine gun bounty. Ill Will is nice but needs a higher mag to be better. As for pulse rifles, have you had a Spare Change drop for you? It's no Red Death or Messenger, but the stats are pretty good for it. I'd roll for full auto to really get your efficiency up.

I will keep that in mind.
Note to self.
Counter balance
*edit*
I got the gun, two of them really *dismantles*, but too late to mess with them now.

Me, jaayf and hipster, the best pvp players in the Peeky clan decided to do something retarded.
Trials of Osiris.
We won six games straight undefeated. We got a nice rage message from a sore ass loser. Hipster had to go to work, no prob, we will finish up later.
Later comes.
Everything that could happen in trials of gayness, happen.
We fought against a team of blinkfag hunters who used mida tools that magically turned into a sniping shotgun. I really think they modded to have instant headshots.
Next, we fought against a team of, you guessed it, lag switchers. And they had the nerve to tbag.
And people paid money for this shit.
Then, the next match we legitimate lost due to the feelings of the previous bullshit we encounter.

Notes of future Weapon Changes was anounced.
Of course. I start maining a sniper rifle and they start nerfing it. I felt alive in PvP again when I was suggested to use Snipers, and it works for me!
So let me get this straight.
In order for the Final Round perk to work, it must be a head shot for instant kill?
Because the last time I checked. Headshots with Snipes were ALWAYS instant kills.
They're nerfing general handcannons notably to me is the hip fire.....and then they said they're buffing hip firing on The Last Word.
All of my whut.
And the best thing about the Black Hammer that made it so unique is getting nerfed. Fuck off. If you're gonna pull that shit, then remove the cooldown on ammo synths. This thing is going to be a bullet eater, no amount of mag increase will fix that. And the gally is getting nerf. All this for the sake of making PoE harder and the future DLC Raid.
I knew since day one of the White Nail Perk, it was going to be a force. Bungie purposely fucked it up so that the gun was useless in Crota Raids. Then when coincidentally, the new House of Wolves DLC comes out, they fixed it after many fucking months later, because Bungie thought Crota DLC will be "obsolete". Even throwing Crota pvp maps into Standard game rotation. But because Bungie fails to think far ahead, they didn't think that the Black Hammer will be OP in the new Prison of Elders. Can't immediately nerf it now, it would be too obvious. But son of a bitch they thought of a way to eventually kill it.
Shotguns are getting nerfed but we read that countless of times before.
Pulse Rifles are getting a stability nerf and a little then some. I AM FUCKING BROKE BECAUSE IVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE PERFECT ROLL ON THE HOPSCOTCH PILGRIM FOR A WEEK NOW. SHOULD I FUCKING BOTHER?

I'm fine with all the changes. Makes me have to switch it up to be more effective. Besides, concerning Black Hammer and ammo, the Ice Breaker trick still works...

Alright, let's get a bit more in depth with your complaints

You main a sniper now. Do you have a sniper with Final Round? Do you use that perk in PvP? If you do, you're part of the problem. Final Round on snipers makes it so that body shots are lethal. If you've played Trials of Osiris, you might've heard random sniper shots being fired as you're finding your opponents. That's a Final Round sniper fag ready to one shot you. Making it so Final Round damage is precision based takes out one shot body shots in PvP. Final Round is now irrelevant in PvP.
The hand cannon range nerf is necessary, and The Last Word is getting a range and stability nerf anyways. They're fixing the bug that allowed for hip fire precision damage when ADS. The Last Word is basically the shotgun of hand cannons, and it's meant to be used at close ranges. The fact is, The Last Word is used at ranges not meant for it, much like all hand cannons are. So the buff it gets for hip fire is meant to ensure the weapon gets used the way it's supposed to be used.
The Black Hammer nerf makes sense because if you nail precision shot after precision shot, it does more damage than Ice Breaker (which is also getting a nerf...which is something I find a little strange). That White Nail perk makes Black Hammer basically an exotic right now. The change makes sense.
Gjallarhorn nerf was needed. Bungie stated that it's the go to PvE weapon, and I am definitely in agreement with that. It's just too powerful. The reduction of power to the Wolfpack Rounds is the right call.
The shotgun nerfs aren't what you think either, as it's not shotguns getting a nerf, but rather two range enhancing perks: Shot Package and Rangefinder. And it's a good thing.
As for pulse rifle nerfs, they're going to be slight, and the stability nerfs focus mainly on the medium rate of fire variants, which I interpret as Red Death and The Messenger, which are both 2 burst headshot kills.
Also, I find it funny you think all of this is purposeful. That Bungie intentionally made a weapon like Gjallarhorn for the sake of creating new experiences for it's game and making them easy as fuck to complete. Making PoE harder? Please, I've beaten Skolas a number of times. He's not hard, just time consuming. The additional enemies make it hard.
Oh yeah, White Nail wasn't the only perk that was fucked from the Crota weapons. Phantom Gift fucked with the Word of Crota until it got fixed too. Never mind the fact that Bungie seems to enact these changes when a major patch is about to release, which is exactly the case here, as all these changes are coming with the 2.0 patch in preparation for The Taken King. Makes more sense than just throwing in a hotfix which only addresses the short term problems and not the longer lasting problems. These major patches are when Bungie wants to make significant changes to better balance the game. And while I would like for Bungie to release MORE patches to address these problems sooner, I'll take what I can get.

I just became a sniper user for about I think two weeks. Before then, not once have I said "omg fuck that Sniper Rifle!". Perk or not, take it for what it is, "I stuck my body out at the wrong time". Who the fuck really complains about Sniper Rifles in crucible when the sniper hits their mark more than not? No one cried nerf for Praedyth's Revenge when everyone and their mothers used it for it's insane stability pre-Dark Below. And really, can anyone tell every time if the Final Round perk killed them or not? You can only assume just because one saw the name of the gun.
And no, I never heard people prepping the Final Round perk in Trials. Trials is more filled with Thorn - Shotgun blink fags than not in my dreadful experiences. The main usage of Sniper Rifles is Shores of Time, sometimes Twilight Gap. Oh, and there's Pantheon, a true sniper much, which I strongly believe that they need to remove this map out of rotation or make a Sniper playlist. Still doesn't stop crucible as a whole for being Shotgun infested. So again, whose really complaining about Sniper Rifles? If anything, I say it's more towards the users, and that's mainly for their camping. And if that's really the issue, then removing a perk is not going to solve anything. Make changes to the map.
I don't know what to think of The Last Word change other than it's constantly becoming less to my liking the more it's messed with. I JUST got used to it's changes, after it's been patched for five months. And to just use it as a CQC gun sounds a bit insane when a shotgun is more sufficient.
With that said, lol at the shotgun "nerf".
The White Nail nerf doesn't, and will never make sense.
No one can justify the nerf.
Using it for the Devil's Lair and The Winters Run strikes is kids shit due to the lack of danger, all the anti-Black Hammers will always focus on those strikes as their argument.
Along with "Just use ammo synths". lol yeah, I'll get right on that, just as soon as the servers are finish taking a shit loading up my character's inventory, oh fuck me, wait, just remember that I just used the Heavy ammo synth. Gotta wait five minutes!
And "Get out of your cover and just grab the special ammo drops" said the invisible Hunter (yes, a Hunter user told me this shit).
Using it in Prison of Elders, where you are constantly under fire trying to land all three precision shots makes it a risk/reward gun. Problem?

Where have I said that Bungie made a gun to make things easy to complete? Me saying they nerf the gun to make things hard is not the same.
And I wouldn't call beating Skolas three times "numerous".
Interesting that you mention "additional enemies make it hard", I agree.
Bungie's design when it comes to player vs enemy is asinine.
I'm going to quote a few people who might can explain the following a little better than I can.
Quote:It's been said. We all know this. Everybody knows except Bungie. The weapon graphics tell the actual story but not the one they care to talk about.
Why do we use Gjallarhorn? Why do we use Black Hammer? Why do we use IceBreaker? WHY DO WE ALL DRAIN COINS ON HEAVY AMMO EVERY FRIDAY?
Because Bungie floods rooms with yellow health bar majors who don't die or bosses who do nothing but fire splash damage one-shots and soak up bullets. Because my hunter golden gun barely dents those crazy servitors in PoE 34 and 35.
I'll be the broken record here since they don't seem to understand the core problems with their game. Pushing Atheon or Templar off a platform was not a bad thing, it was ingenious work of dedicated players using mechanics Bungie built. Players should be rewarded for more than just DPS on waves of majors a level above theirs who don't die. This is exactly why people will still look for the cheese. We wouldn't need or lust for Gjallarhorn (I have four) if the game design included more than just holding right trigger and hoping a one shot from a random enemy off screen or anteater error doesn't kick the team back to orbit after three hours of persistance amounts to nothing on a work night.
The Chalice, the Aegis, the sword, jail breaker. Some of these are absolutely on the right track but it's an astoundingly laughable gesture to give a player endless adds who just won't die and then weaken the weapons that could kill them. Where's the fun in that if shooting is all you expect your players to do?
For all the changes Destiny has been through it's still the loot cave, they are still saying we're "playing it wrong."
Quote:Most of all the large enemy encounters are "sit at the edge of the room, and shoot." or "sit right next to the door and shoot." The black hammer only made that easier to do, but without it, it still doesn't change that bullet spongy way of handling large enemy encounters.
In most situations its not proactive to just jump around the map and shoot enemies. All of the POE bosses and most Strike Bosses are simply "group up and shoot them from far away." Black Hammer just made it easier to DPS, and thats only if you are good at using it. Without it, we will be doing the same thing, because it still wont be proactive to have any other strategy.
Sorry Bungie, it's not your weapon that needs to be changed. Its the way we have large enemy encounters. The black hammer is fine, change your boss mechanics.
Quote:As I'm sure has been said, the upcoming nerfs to the weapons are a mixed bag, some good (anyone interested in seeing less thorns in the crucible) and some bad (R.I.P. icebreaker and black hammer)
I will wait to see what effect these have on the Gjallarhorn, but my major bug-bear with all these changes is that they don't address the real issues.
Everyone uses / wants gjallarhorn to make dull, bullet-sponge enemies into less of a chore. Thorn is overused because it's effective and rewards less-skilled players. Blackhammer is used to reduce the time we plough shot after shot into repetitive encounters.
Any time anything is done by the players to reduce their boredom, or increase their fun, it is addressed by Bungie, rather than being embraced by them.
Instead of trying to increase the grind in PVE, they could embrace the fun things we find - players having sparrow races to get the ether chests was fun, for example, but removed pretty quickly. Gjallarhorn is used purely to reduce boring, bullet-sponge encounters, but it's not the encounters which are being addressed, I hope the Taken King raid and strikes are more involved.
Instead of addressing specific issues in PVP (I'm sure more players would take the removal of "God-mode" laggers over a thorn nerf, for example), they blanket nerf all handcannons, while leaving a less-fun, laggy environment to play in...
Them nerfing Valrus Taaurc (even though that was out of the blue for them to do) and Skolas is them getting on the right track.
There needs to be more of this but I think the focus should be on the enemies. Either nerf the yellow bar enemies or make the Exotic weapons feel like Exotic weapons. And Bungie's too scared to do the latter.
A player being the same level as the enemies should never be so difficult. Just because they have a yellow bar shouldn't mean their level is secretly times 3. And oh boy if they are a level higher than you, fuck life.
Personal issue, but going through Prison of Elders and dealing with a mob of yellows just upsets me every time, because I feel like all that time and material I put into armor and guns meant nothing. I'm not expecting to mow enemies down, but I shouldn't be getting killed in two to three hits either.
