Pokemon's kind of dropped down on my radar lately. The games are a blast, and I enjoyed Pokemon X. Didn't bother with ORAS, never was a big fan of Hoenn. Hoping the inevitable X2/Y2/Z/whatever is fun. Love the Mega Evolutions for existing Pokemon... though, some would have been better off with full-fledged evolutions as opposed to this gimmick.

yeah I don't like the mega evolutions, its not as fun in the SP at least, you just blast the opponent no matter what if you mega evolve. They should have added a fourth evolution instead, or maybe added a secret evolution or something, I hate temporary effects in games. Thats why I dont bother much with potions with buffs and stuff in games. I wanna evolve, not be temporary strong.

My biggest gripe with the Pokemon series is that not once in 20 years have they brought a full-fledged Pokemon RPG to a console. Pokemon X and Y are a good start, but I want a Pokemon RPG with graphics on par with, say, Super Mario 64 on the Wii U (or whatever is coming out in the future).
They sort of toyed with this concept in the adventure modes in both Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD: Gale Of Darkness (which were pretty decent games), but they took place in the Orre region, which had this super contrived excuse that wild Pokemon couldn't survive in that region.
I don't even care if it's a re-make of Pokemon Red/Blue/Green, I just want a Pokemon game on a console. Come to think of it, a re-make of the original would be pretty cool, actually.

As a first and second gen player, I don't know what the fuck you people are talking about.
So I looked up this Sword Poke'mon...holy fuck this is terrible creativity. I thought I seen worse when I saw a garbage trash monster poke'mon and a fucking gothic lolita poke'mon.
Anyways...
A few months ago, my friend who still had my Gameboy, for whatever reason started playing Poke'mon red version. He was talking about how he wanted Alakazam, which he couldn't get unless we trade. So I started getting into the game again, for a little bit though.
When I looked into my game, I noticed that I tried to make a cast of Dratini, Dragonairs, Dragonites, all into each specific elemental. Which is impossible. But hell if it wasn't an interesting thought.
Electric and Ice
and that was as far as I could get.
I would level them up at the Poke'mon League.

Dropped it, when I played Y. They made it too EASY.
I did play Red, on my Red Gameboy Pocket, also Yellow Version.
My favorite was Silver, probably got to get Soul Silver sometime..maybe I don't know.

Latest Pokémon game I've played thus far is Black 2. It's pretty good, but there's a few horribly retarded design decisions in the game like getting rid of the Pokétch in favor of the C-Gear as well as leaving the Daycare in the same place as it was in Black 1, making it so that you have to beat the Elite 4 & the Champion before you can even go there. It also sucks that the Game Corner isn't in the game.
That being said, there's still quite a few good things about the game. I really like that TMs can be used infinitely as well as having a huge variety of Pokémon to catch.

I once tried to do a Resident Evil theme with my Poke'mon adventure.
It was Pkmn Gold. I had Houndors, err however you spelled them. Y'know, the black dog demon. Those represent the dogs from the Resident Evil game. I had Sparrows which represent the crows. Then I realized much later how that wasn't enough and gave up on the idea. Even had a few Haunters which represent nothing but they were my crutch in battles.
