Ahh, I see. Fair enough. I tried looking up stuff about Whitehead and his involvement, but none of them went into detail, I thought they were just straight-up ports. I mean, this could turn out to be the "Contra 4" for Sonic (made purely by old fans, manages to stand proudly with the rest of the franchise despite borrowing some elements).
I won't be buying this game day 1 or anything, but it could turn out to be a great title. I just can't help but think it'll turn out to be mainly recycled. I mean, they aren't even giving Sonic original sprite animation.
Another thing that grows my concern, is that this is basically a Sonic fan game, officially released and priced. The last time that happened was Freedom Planet, and that shit sucked (IMO). Still, that was a different team.
