Oh, so this is why the Sonic Team has been acting like a douche lately against other game developer(s).
They're getting bold because they know they're finally gonna win their fans back because they finally listened.
And here I'm thinking they were gonna pull Sonic Maker.

Meh.... That's what everyone said about Sonic The Hedgehog 4 when it was first announced. I mean, it'll probably be decent, but....

lmao. I'm sorry, but I can't help but be cynical towards this.
All it takes is them recycling Sonic 2 (and Sonic 2 beta) sprites to get all of these people ecstatic over Sonic. That's ALMOST as lazy as . . . say, adding a 4 to the game title. Hmm?
It's going to take more than namedropping a guy who ported the first few games to iPhones to get me even generally interested. The game looks like more of the same shit, and that new mechanic barely changes the gameplay.

I swear it was you that said that you didn't like the physics of the previous sidescrolling 3D games because it didn't feel like the oldschool games.

While the physics do look better, what makes this a step above Sonic fan games/romhacks? The official stamp of SEGA?

Give attention to their less milked franchises, and Sonic Maker. Honestly, this is them admitting that fans do it better. Then just give them ALL the resources.
Could you imagine Sonic Maker on PC? It would be limited, but modders would fucking break that limit ASAP. It would be glorious.
