Speaking of DLC, CEO of Harmonix said Rock Band 3 will be next to receive an export. I figured as much, it's best to do it while there's still general interest and they can get money out of it, since they're able to charge for it, since it was never exported before.

Also, I came across some good money so I decided to return my guitar bundle and instead get the band-in-a-box bundle. My RB2 drums were getting pretty beat up anyway, and I hear the new microphone is significantly better. Also, I decided to give up on the legacy adapter. There was a firmware update for the drums, and it is better with it. There's still a slight hint of lag, though. It isn't the game, it's the drumset itself. Hopefully they'll release a fix for it soon.

I'm still trying to play drums. Still dropping noted. So it could be the drum kit...can you use RB3's cymbals on the RB4 kit?

Alright, some news, fellas!

So Janiak, the CEO, is still saying the news on RB3's export will arrive 'very soon.' RB3 was probably my favorite setlist, so I'm anticipating this more than the rest.

But, regardless what they stated before, Green Day Rock Band exports are NOW COMPATIBLE! With Xbone right now, at least. Not sure about PS4.

That's another one down, and another 50+ songs for this setlist!

People said they saw some weird things when it came to the Doors and Ozzy Osbourne songs in the RB4 store on Xbone. These two packs are notorious for not transferring over to RB4 if you bought the packs or even some singles. Harmonix stated previously they're aware of the issues and are trying to fix them as soon as they can. This could be a sign that we may get them soon. I got one of the Ozzy packs and some Doors songs, so it definitely concerns me.

Another thing, guys. Just about ALL DLC that came out before Rock Band 3 is only $1! It doesn't show up like that for RB4, though. You need to access the store either through the official Xbox website or one of the 360 Rock Band titles. As soon as you buy the song for $1 on any of those stores, you can download them on RB4.

A buck-a-piece is not a bad price, pretty sure iTunes charges more than that for songs, lol. Also, keep in mind that includes the brand new Harmony vocals when applicable and the new freestyle guitar solos for those old songs! There's no telling when this sale will end, they've been like that for a couple years now. HMX said it would end when Rock Band 4 comes out, but they're still on sale.

So if there was any old track you never got around to buying, get on that!

Okay, HUGE NEWS UPDATE TODAY. They probably got sick of the constant questions. No doubt they won't stop, but I appreciate this a lot.

This talks about RB3, they say it SHOULD be in the big ol' December 8th update! 15 bucks, though? Damn, that's a bit of a price hike. It was $5 for RB1, 2, and the rest were free. I don't care, still buying that export as soon as it's available.

EDIT: Okay, apparently RB2 and GD were $10 each. I guess I don't remember lol

They also talk about the other exports, but no real date. Hopefully they'll have news of that soon or they'll randomly become available! Blitz and Green Day came in out of nowhere, so maybe we'll see that happen for those other exports as well!

Interesting tidbit about RBN. It isn't a flat-out "no" but just a "we will worry about that later" which makes me a bit hopeful.

Honestly, I don't see them upgrading them the same way they did the old DLC. After all, the RBN community ballooned like crazy and they surpassed the song-count of official DLC by a lot. I can only see them doing two things. This is assuming they do anything at all;
-Port songs over, but simply that. No upgrades, no changes.
-Get the Harmonies Project team to provide Harmony Vocals for those songs as well.

I'd be fine with either of these. While some of the songs would be great in Harmony, I'm more in it for the Guitar and Drum parts anyway.

So I played a bit of Pro drums. Works pretty damn good, except the blue cymbal. That, of course, could just be an issue with the cymbal itself. I'm gonna try cleaning it up, looking up tricks to stop the random double-taps, or even use one of my spare cymbals (had one set, some drunk asshole fell on my drumset at a part once and mostly broke except for like two cymbals. Ahh, early college times!) to replace it. We'll see, but for the most part it works fine!

Nothing concrete, from what I'm looking up. I've asked them on Twitter, no response. Really random whether or not you actually get a response from them.

Anyway, considering they transferred over to RB3 no problem, I would imagine the possibility that they make it to RB4 once RB2's export is compatible with Xbone. I only assume this because those 20 songs were never available on the marketplace.

I really hope that they are part of the RB2 export in the future.
