LAYOFFS REPORTED AT SEGA'S MOBILE DIVISION
Hopefully now Sega also gets rid of the Sonic Boom garbage and turns the characters back to normal. Ordinarily, I usually hate retconning with no explanations, but for Sonic Boom.... I would gladly make an exception. Just wash your hands of it Sega, and make Sonic Adventure 3.
Layoffs are always sad to hear about, though. As someone who got laid off twice (dangerously close to three times), I know how tough that is.
I'm guessing you never really looked into the whole matter. Sonic Boom wasn't any sort of reboot, it's just a spin-off as a companion with the cartoon (which is successful and still going, by the way). Sega's intention was never to abandon the older designs and stick with that, they're barely involved at all to begin with. If they really intended for this to be a reboot, do you really think they'd toss the games at some throwaway no-name company? They make literally all of their mainline titles in-house. Sonic Boom was not a mainline title, and was never supposed to be.
Also, they already tried to make Sonic Adventure 3. It's called Sonic '06. Or did nobody realize how many similarities it had with Sonic Adventure 1?
