Randy would have orgasm'd over Mario maker and would probably be making ridiculous courses using it today for us to try. He told me in our chats that it was the one thing he wanted to do, the flash he made (Mario Scene Creator) was pretty much his idea of Mario maker except he wanted it to function somehow. The game itself is basically what he was waiting for but now he will never be able to experience it which makes me a little angry and sad. Weapon is right about Tomb Raider he would get hyped up all the time about it showed me some art he did a while back. I am pretty sure he'd love the new ones.

He would be turning 40 this year. Wonder how his family is doing these days.

I will say he put thought into many things he did. He had a lot of blueprints for his flash and even worked on some original jokes. I think he rarely ever just copied memes from places and pasted them into his movies. He is also the only person I knew at the time who made a special Wii version of his site. He was creative and honestly even the personal changes in him were admirable. I'm sure many of us also grew and changed over the years. Least I hope so. Most of the time I think these rivalries were more or less for entertainment. Randy never really hated anyone. He had a heart. He loved his family, he loved this community and everyone in it and he was a good natured person. Not to mention if you needed help, no matter how stupid you were he always tried to guide you in the right direction. There is a lot we can learn from his legacy. He was a brilliant person. Rest in Peace Randy.

Miss ya tons brother, every time I think of a creative project, I still look for your judgement. I looked up to you alot as I grew up, lmao, was 13 years old when I joined this this site.... I'm 27 now, still ambitious as ever, if I ever make it some where, I defiantly owe it to you.

I hope this site will remain for many many years to come! As long as I have a say, it will!

I feel a large bite of nostalgia every time I log in. I was in my freshman year of high school (2006) when I joined. I asked him in a newgrounds pm for some sprites and he directed me to here. met a lot of people whom have come, gone and come back. He always had sound advice, and always offered an ear when a member was having problems (either with flash or with life.) Miss ya big guy.

Man...my 20s went by with a blink on an eye. I've lived life, travel to California to visit Disneyland free of charge, to surving a head-on collision by a drunk driver. Somehow underneath it all...I would always wonder how you guys are holding up. It's nuts just seeing you guys are keeping the VGDC name alive!! I totally missed out on the passing of Rando himself but damn...it's still shocking to me that he is no longer with us. I've even met JewWario two weeks before he passed on and its so damn surreal to think about. But yeah, at least he entertained us and brought us all together. I don't have time to shmooze around as I used to when I was 16 but listening to t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 just helps remember the times during the summer of 2005 late at night with FLCL playing in the background with sounds of katydids from the outside.

I missed those times.

Making new movies (good ones) is how to accomplish it, but that's a LOT easier said than done for a multitude of reasons.

Aside from us having lives and responsibilities not on the internet, Flash is a dying medium and will be rendered obsolete as of sometime in 2020.

I've been tinkering around in Adobe Animate CC (what Adobe Flash is called now) and learning how to animate on an HTML5 canvas is extremely tricky. Just for starters, you can no longer create multiple "scenes" in a movie using HTML5...now you're forced to awkwardly pre-animate everything in "movie clips" and "graphics".

It seems like moderately simplistic things like my annoying sigs can be possible using this new method, but I shudder, quite frankly, at the thought of trying to create, say, a new ROTMK on an HTML5 canvas.  Then again, I would never ever say that I was an expert at Flash, so perhaps I'm overlooking something.

I haven't been using Flash for a decade now and it can pretty be complicating. Also Newgrounds, is just simply a dying website since YouTube pretty much destroyed it.
