-Metal Slug is dead
-Contra is dead
-Speaking of Contra, I made myself play Hard Corps Uprising for 3 hours for footage on my retrospect. It was quite possibly the hardest thing I've ever done. College? Easy mode. Breaking up my year-long relationship? COULDA DONE THAT SHIT IN MY SLEEP. All my overnight/graveyard shifts? Nothing compared to playing this horrible piece of shit. Playing this abomination makes me physically ill and depressed. Everything about it horrible, and anyone that says otherwise is the wrong fucking opinion. I don't give a shit what you think, this game fucking sucks. I can NOT wait to decimate it in my restrospect.
-F-zero BEEN dead. And, for that matter, that boring-ass looking Fast Racing Neo game is not going to be a replacement for it. That shit looks lame as hell.
-Silent Hills, a potentially decent survival horror game, was canceled. I'm sure you've all heard it before from various other people to the point where you guys are sick of it, and I've gotten over it, but it will always linger inside my mind that we were suppose to get a survival horror game inspired by David Lynch's work with incredible graphics by Hideo Kojima, and co-directed with Guillermo Del Toro who has done some incredible creature designs, and co-developed by Junji god-damn-motherfucking Ito. If you don't know who he is, he is the fucking MASTER of Japanese horror manga. His work is incredible. Simply incredible, he works on so many levels and he fucking nails it every time. He's also a damn good artist and designer. Just LOOK AT THIS SHIT. He was finally going to be part of video game development, and those fucking Pachinko fuckheads decided to deny the world a horror game that might not have been a piece of shit. You know how few and far between those are these days? It's hard being a survival horror fan that needs more than jumpscares to get them off.
-On that note, Allison Road is not a replacement for that either. That shit looks uninspired and generic.
-Walking Dead stopped being good after the 5th episode, how the fuck is it so successful? I'm so sick of zombies at this point, and season 5 was a huge piece of shit. Just like 4, and 3 (for the most part), and 2. It doesn't have anything to do with them straying away from the comic, I don't care about that. It's just a terribly written show with shit characters and constant predictable tropes.
-I love Harmonix, and Rock Band 4 is at least playable at this point, but I'm afraid of their future. They've been getting lumped with the over-saturated Guitar Hero bullshit ever since 2009, and I hate that. The stigma is still there as they released this new title, despite that there hasn't been a $60 Rock Band game for 5 years, people are acting like it's only been 5 months. As much as I like this game, I'm afraid that it won't do well. It's nice that the ride is back on for weekly DLC and updates, but I'm afraid it's going to be over before we know it. Can a company as small as them really keep up with a game that has this much licensed music? Never-mind the fact that they aren't backed up by EA anymore. As much as I hate them now, it's obvious they provided a lot of the funding for the previous games.
But this is all vidya and tv stuff. Currently? Nothing real to be frustrated about. Except the butterfly flap on my car's gas cap is fucked up, I guess. Takes forever to fill my tank.
