I'm miffed that people are upset about the $40 price tag. As it is, I understand the anger of the pricing of the various editions of The Taken King, but DeeJ is going to address it in the weekly update, stating that Day 1 players will get something better overall. We have to go into "wait and see" mode, so all of this jumping to conclusions nonsense needs to stop.

There's various reasons why people are upset about the DLC.
But none of them are logical.
"I'm a day one player, I'm not getting anything, waaaah".

The late as fuck Christmas gift Bungie gave us was a purple engram that gave us weapons we mostly dismantle.
And the House of Wolves DLC has proved that people are still using their old weapons.
What could they possibly offer?

I don't get it. The $40 version of the DLC DOES come with something for the year one players. Why are people butthurt again?

I'm upset about the DLC because of the Sub-Classes, y'know, something that actually matters in-game? is bundled with a Story DLC I don't care for. THAT'S what everyone SHOULD be pissed about. None of this cosmetic bullshit.
The Destiny community is pissed at what Luke Smith said in the Eurogamer interview. But they're too stupid to realize that what Luke said is EXACTLY what Activision is thinking of it's Destiny consumers. They should be mad at Activision, not Luke.

As for paying for the new subclasses, that's probably why it's $40. Along with the new story missions, strikes, patrol area, bounties, raid, Crucible maps and modes, etc.

The Collector's Edition pack being $20 does sting. However, there is word that the pack is more than just the cosmetic items. Also, people were upset that they had to buy Destiny all over again at $80 just to get access to it. Having it be a separate purchase is what most people were calling for. Bungie did exactly that. Now, I can buy The Taken King stand alone at $40 and the extra content for $20 and not have to worry about buying the whole game again. Or, if I feel $20 is too much, not get it.
And for people who already pre-ordered the Collector's Edition, Bungie has said there will be more than what's been announced. So those people are not getting screwed out of $20. Never mind people like me who are getting the VIP content, which is said to be better than the Collector's Edition content. Prices aside, this isn't all that bad.

Destiny finally 1000g.
Never thought I'll see the day.
Never thought I'll beat a Raid.
Never thought I'll beat the Raid on Hard Difficulty.
Never thought I'll endure the bullshit that's Salvage mode.
Sadly, I said I was going to delete the game when I get that 1000g, but weirdly, yesterday playing PvP with my friends last night...even though PvP is still hot garbage, I can't see myself to do that.
I guess it's just the feeling playing with your friends, which was something I haven't done for some days when I was working on MAFIA II.
