Time Crisis 5
Me and my brother found an arcade machine for it in Times Square, so we had to play it!
To be honest, it's kind of disappointing. The new mechanic is weird, and doesn't give you as much freedom when it comes to switching between cover and fire. They're also using the Unreal Engine, so it has a funny rag doll effect, but game itself doesn't look that great. We couldn't finish the game, because it just kept crashing before we reached the end. Although, the stages feel a LOT shorter than the 3 titles before it and the bosses are just big machines. The games always had cheesy and obnoxious bosses that were a delight to fight. So it feels a little soulless. Since it was 10 years since Time Crisis 4, it's kind of a let down. Although, to aid the shortness, Namco did say they're releasing a "Mastermind Edition" which is the same game, but twice as many stages. Guess we'll see if anywhere around here gets that edition.
Dark Escape 4D
Another rail shooter, but in a horror movie setting. Scarier-looking than the likes of House of the Dead. Unfortunately, it's kind of terrible. Nothing but cheap shots that make you lose health instantly.
Tekken 7
It plays pretty much exactly like the previous ones. Actually talked to my brother about it while we were playing, Tekken is pretty much a "Legacy fighter" where it barely changes across installments so that people that played the previous ones can get right into this one. For example, anyone that has solely played Street Fighter Third Strike for years can't just quickly pick up 4 no problem. It's way too different. Tekken, however, you can get use to it really quickly if your character is there and you've played before.
Freedom Planet
The voice acting is fucking horrible, why did they even bother?
Until Dawn
A fun horror interactive movie with a couple of nice twists. It's a real blast to play with a bunch of friends. The game also records you if you have a Playstation Camera when there's certain jump scares, which is great.
Rocket League (PS4)
It's pretty exciting, but playing this with randoms is impossible. You NEED to play with friends with all of you in a party chat.
