Saw the what I think was the R-Rated version but whatever.
Blah blah blah yeah the action was good.
I can't help but to think that the director and/or writer played Arkham City and watched Kick-Ass Big Daddy scene.
Um...for the longest time I had hard doubts about Gal as Wonder Woman and I completely forgot that Hollywood can make anyone look good. And at this point, it doesn't matter when people are going zoom zoom all over the screen. Sooo that's that.
Even though she had a short role...I didn't hate it, I mean, in terms of her action scene.
I don't have to mention Ben as Batman, it was a no brainer to me on how he will do.
Jessie Esienberg as Lex. God damn it, out of all things, I had high hopes for this kid. Because he plays the "I'm a smart asshole" role so well in his other films. But instead, he just mimic Heath Ledger's Joker. "Hrmm" all over the fuckin' place. All he was missing was lip smacks and face paint.

I'm gonna have to watch the movie again because there were a few things I didn't understand. One of them being how the fuck Superman knew Lo-Lo wanted the Kryptonite Staff when every dipped before she tossed it in the water?
But I'll mention more of those another time.
So I'm gonna point out, I can't dig that fact that Batman pulled some weird Spider-Man shit in one scene. Fuck that.
And also, the fight stops because both their parents names were Martha. I bet the fucking writer was so god damn proud of himself when he came up with that dumb shit conclusion.

You haven't noticed yet? He tends to go with the popular opinions. And for this movie, it's to hate every bit of it and claim it has no redeeming values. Just like most people, going so far as pointing out the same nitpicky shit over and over again in hundreds of Youtube videos and claim those reasons alone are enough to justify despising the entirety of the movie. On top of that, bringing up Snyder's upbringing with comics when he was a kid, as if that effects the movie somehow.
The whole thing is Prometheus all over again.
I've yet to watch the Ultimate Edition, but I hear it doesn't necessarily clear a whole lot of things up or adds more flow to the movie, just a bit more lore and background. Which is always a plus. My brother got a rip of it, so I'll watch it soon enough.
As for the theatrical release, it had plenty of flaws, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Just like in Man of Steel, I enjoy this Superman who's a flawed hero and unsure of himself at times. It's a lot more interesting than how they did him in all the movies before Man of Steel, in which he was very one-note and predictable most of the time. I also think Affleck killed the role, and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of him. My biggest complaint is probably how they tried to mash "The Death of Superman" in the last 15 minutes. It was really sloppy, albeit a cool final fight.
I don't think it's too fair to compare Lex in this movie to Joker. Are we really going to say that the 2008 Joker originated being a weirdo that made people uncomfortable? Plenty of villains in movie history have been like that. If anything, he reminded me of Alexander Luthor Jr.
