Companies need to care about the consumers, not the corporations.
Microsoft did it to themselves with their 2013 Xbox One stunt.
Developers don't want to fully support a company that had the most asinine idea of gaming history.
And in my opinion, neither should the consumers, I don't care how many years have passed, but "whatever, they gots Halo, yo!"

That's not even the point. Console exclusives for multi platform games ends up hurting the consumer who decides to pick up the game for the console not getting the exclusive content. It divides the player base and creates an uneven playing field. I only bring up the PS4 here because the PS4 is getting said exclusive content. I could easily bring up Rise of the Tomb Raider as an example of Microsoft doing the exact same thing. It helps only Sony or Microsoft and not the people who buy their products. That's the point I'm making.

I take it this is your first rodeo since this is a game series you ever cared deeply about.
I felt exactly like this since 2009 with "Batman: Arkham Asylum". Many years later it became clear to me that Warner Bros. and Sony are butt buddies so all the cool stuff goes to the Playstation version of whatever game. But more along the lines of the Batman series I can recall. Then Mortal Kombat with Kratos since NetherRealm Studios is ruled under Warner Bros.
Capcom's "Street Fighter x Tekken" with its console exclusive characters on Playstation versions.
Fast Forward to now, "Street Fighter V" is not coming out for Xbox One. Japanese never liked Microsoft anyway.

With that said, this isn't going to stop...and like I said, what Microsoft pulled back in 2013 just dug themselves a hole in their grave. Companies don't want to do shit for Xbox One. "Rise of the Tomb Raider" was an obvious cry for help.

It's not the first time and I'm very aware of the problem. However, I have no doubt Harmonix will make the songs available on Xbox One.
It's funny, Microsoft has a better holiday lineup than Sony does for the second straight year, they've done a lot to improve their image since 2013, and Sony has been sitting pretty not doing anything to improve themselves. And yet here we are. Sony is riding that negative PR backlash to the bank and they don't have to do anything. Which is why they're not. PS4 really doesn't have much going on and they're the market leader because Microsoft gambled on what the next big advancement in gaming would be.
In any event, already have Rock Band 4 paid for, so I don't care greatly about the bonus songs. It's just a bummer that it's happening, even with belief they won't be exclusive for long.

They just announced that adapter thingy for RB4. $20 and mandatory for anyone that wants to use last-gen wireless instruments. At least on Xbone (which we're all going to be using lol).
Also, I didn't know they already said wired instruments aren't supported. I'm beyond sad, but I guess it's finally forcing me to get use to a guitar that isn't the X-plorer (WHICH WAS PERFECT). Oh well.

I guess I have to chip in for a new guitar...well this is going to be a problem. If they are not supporting wired, then I have to buy a new guitar, but I also have to buy the adapter for my pro-drums. Fuck.

Honestly, I don't know if they'll ever fix this issue. I'm sure HMX is more than aware of the demand for wired instrument use. And I should've known this would be an issue for HMX and Xbone, since 360 arcade sticks are not compatible with Xbone. Meanwhile, Mortal Kombat X and Skullgirls on PS4 can use PS3 arcade sticks no problem.
