I just realized something about the future of Sonic games. - WeaponTheory - 12-01-2015

It's no secret that people have been complaining about Sonic games for years. Dare I say, Sonic Generations was the last Sonic game to get it right, if not Sonic Colors.

Sonic Team has claimed recently that they read and heard it all from the fans and how they will change their ways.

So it got me thinking....

I'm simutaneously all for it and absolutely horrified by the thoughts of the abundence of atrocious level designs with instant death traps that will make modern Sonic levels look amazing by comparison.

Oh god no..

I guess I'm always going to be the guy on the soap box when I say Sonic Generations was really not that good. The nostalgia is fun at first, but looking at it objectively, the stage design was mostly terrible. Most especially with Classic Sonic. Doesn't help that the physics were completely fucked.

Don't forget the "walk to hear music" stages and "Stand still to watch a clusterfuck and annoying noises!" stages.

I wouldn't put it past them to make a "Sonic Maker" game, but I can't imagine how much worse the community will be than Mario Maker.

I was actually trying to forget about those, thank you. Dodgy

It's probably pretty ironic that someone who calls himself the "Master Of Annoyance" would find stages full of annoying sounds irritating.

I'll be the one guy who treats the maps like a Mario platformer. Walk only. Because spikes everywhere yo. No running. Just like how I play my Sanics.
