Nightmare fuel - Shervik - 10-12-2015
So, I like watching videos that are scary, mysterious, and/or creepy. I want to scare you with the ones I find. And I want to see the ones you have found. Be it urban legends or myths or just a creepy clip
heres one of my favorites:
Lights out
a short film about a woman who sees something in the dark as she turns off the lights...

The ending is horrible, makes me want to edit and remove it. It was already so effective without the "BOO! SPOOKY FACE!" how pitiful.
Buuuuut I guess it's all subjective. Anyway, here's a really old one I remember liking;

heres one thats a 911 call. I dunno if its real or not, but sure is creepy.

lol yeah, I'm too pussy for stuff like this. I already saw the first video awhile back. I mean, I can watch horror films, but when you got Youtube mofos doing it, it's usually way better than what a hollywood movie director can produce I think.

I've always firmly believed that shorts are more impactful than big budget movies of the horror genre for various reasons. A couple that are the most important;
-No producer meddling, just a few passionate people want to make the viewer creeped out or scared. This is the case for internet Youtube videos as well as horror compilations. None of them are ever high-budgeted in the first place, so the directors and writers pretty much always have free reign.
-They don't have to follow some bullshit guideline like every single cookie-cutter movie out there (I'm convinced there is one, all their beginnings and middles are exactly the same).
Found a couple more I liked;
This one makes me constantly imagine I hear something whenever I'm taking out the trash at night.
I thought this was aight. A hell of a lot better than that 15-million dollar sack of garbage that came out in 2013, that's for sure. And, yes, that sack of garbage is based off of this short.

They're all classics as far as I'm concerned. Just the art scared the fuck out of me back when I read them. For the record, I was around 8 or 9 when I did. The stories are pretty good but the art was disturbing as all get out. Think I'll go buy the omnibus since it exists. Reading that article and learning about the attempted bans and the change in art saddens me. But not so much to enjoy the content of them. Crazy to think grade school libraries had these books available to take out. But if not, I would not have ever read them.
