The whole thing seems to be in an effort to take away any type of "free phone calling services" due to them not having paying for a license for VoIP. This includes Skype, Whatsapp, Viber, Facebook messenger and Google Hangouts.

This started back in January. It seems video games got away from the ban, but now they're being affected, to the point that online gaming doesn't seem to be possible in Morocco right now..
