This shall be my first Pokémon game I plan on getting since Ruby and Sapphire.

And I will probably be choosing Rowlet.

I also want Rowlet. all though we are 3 friends getting this game, so we thought that we all are getting one of each. I said dibs on Rowlet first though but I will see later. Maybe the seal starter have a very cool evolved form.

Funny thing is literally the exact same joke could have been made about Squirtle. But it was spared the indignity, because Pokemon was a new concept at the time, and Squirtle was only one out of 151.

No, it couldn't. Because even as a kid, you understood what a Portmanteau is. And Squirt + Turtle is more clever than a easy typo.
