Not true. A lot of good video games have terrible fanbases. It doesn't always speak for the quality of the show.

Video games are different because they require some form of skill or intelligence to get through them, unlike tv shows and movies.
Dad: Let's go out for lunch.

Me: Okay.

*after driving around aimlessly for a few hours*

Dad: I'm not hungry.

Me: Hmm...

I can just imagine the inner thoughts of "I enjoyed our quality time together, son" and doesn't want to say it out loud, because he's a man. Followed by a firm handshake before he leaves the door.

It's all good. I didn't ever really spend time with him growing up. And since mom died, he's been trying to make up for it. I'll take what I can get.
Nice relaxed day off after 6 straight nights of work. Ate, bought groceries, took a 2-hour nap. Drinking some beers right now while keeping an eye on our dog. Being thankful that I'm not scheduled to work Sunday nights. Awesome
As I've posted earlier in this thread about it, over the last 7 months I've been slowly replacing all the broken shit on my car. Saturday I replaced steering components. no more fluid leaking from that area. oil still leaking slowly. hope after my dad is moved into his new house that my car can be insured again until I am on my feet financially.

In other news, I've been working on two albums at the same time. The first is comprised of original tunes in various electronic genres. The Second is tunes using digital orchestra, originals in the styles of different game composers. hope to have both finished by the end of July so that I can start getting on my feet again.
So...yesterday was fun. Left for New York at around 9 AM, got there around 12:30. My friend is a Japanophile and we more or less went from Grand Central to Chinatown immediately. Ate a bit of Chinese food, which I'm no fan of, and hit up a Japanese bakery for some unique treats. I saved my food for the ride home. That...didn't happen. So, after spending the afternoon walking around Manhattan, we headed to Times Square and the PlayStation Theater for Babymetal. Once we got in, all the baked snacks we were going to eat on the way home was confiscated by security. All thrown out despite our insistence that we weren't going to eat it inside. I understand poll their adherence to policy but c'mon, dick move guys. So, got some merch, went inside the theater and enjoyed a damn good show. Starting with Babymetal Death, and going through tracks from both albums such as Catch Me If You Can, Doki Doki Morning, Karate, The One (in English!), and Road of Resistance. All told, a stellar show that has me wanting to see them again. Then the ride home came. Leaving Grand Central (which, by the way, is a train station) at 10:40 PM, I didn't get home until 2:40 AM. So yeah, a long day. A sometimes frustrating day. But also a fun one. I'd recommend seeing the band if you have the opportunity to do so.

Super lame that they made you throw all that food out. But hey, it sounded like a dope adventure/experience at the end of the day. Right on.

Well guys, I had one of the lamest/shittiest days I've had in a long time.

I don't think I've told any of you here, but I work for a vape shop (meaning I work for a shop that specializes in electronic cigarettes). I've been working there for the past four years and am the general manager there. It's the reason I moved from Los Angeles to Sacramento (started working at the company in LA, was promoted during my work there, then moved to Sacramento to open up another location).

Everything was going smooth up until today, when the FDA just released their final ruling for regulations for electronic cigarettes, which was a 499 page pdf explaining a bunch of things, but the kicker is that electronic cigarettes are classified as tobacco products, which means that in California, we can't use vape products indoors and everything we sell is now going to get a shitload of taxes on it, which will make it not very affordable for most people. Among other things, which I won't get into unless anyone here cares about it.

So the entire industry is freaking out, and I was up all night reading the document to find out exactly what it means for the store I manage, and I didn't fall asleep until 8am this morning because my sleep schedule could suck a cue ball out of a drinking straw. On top of that, California is now passing a bill that increased the smoking age from 18 to 21. I don't give that much of a shit about that, but the fact that electronic cigarettes are being classified in the same category as a pack of marlboro reds pisses me off. I wake up at 3pm to find that the local news wanted me to do an interview for them regarding this, and I get myself ready to go do the interview super quick before I work my shift from 6 to 11pm. I wound up making the interview and bounce straight afterwards to go to work. After the shift was done, my roommates appeared at my work to take me out drinking, which was nuts because everyone else in town was out drinking because of the Cinco de mayo festivities. Needless to say, it was a long day.

So now i'm back at home, wondering if I'm even going to have a job by September. I'm not really that stressed about it if things go really bad because I'm confident that things will turn out alright, but it's just one of those times where the future is very unclear.

Anyways, that was my day. Hope yours was better than mine, cuz if not, dayum that sucks, lol.
