Star Wars.......bit of a let-down in my opinion. Having said that, it's normal for me to dislike new Star Wars movies on first viewing, will have to watch it again to properly make my mind up.
Deadpool

By far the funniest Marvel movie I've ever seen.
Kingsman: The Secret Service

Fuckin' awesome movie, one of my brother's friends streaming it last night.
If you like spy movies, check this one out.

Pretty good western.

The Scorpion King

We caught this on TV actually, and started watching it. I think it was about 25% into the movie. This was sometime last week as well.

Beautiful movie. Beautiful and terrifying (because you just know this shit is gonna happen in the future). Don't know if I talked about it before, but watch it. Fucking watch it. I am still blown away by how good this movie was.

Spoilers

Definitely was an interesting film. I personally couldn't wrap my head around an A.I. having human emotions and realistic human speech tones. It was like the Ghost in Destiny all over again and that took me weeks to get used to that. Throughout the movie, I was just waiting for the chick to go "Psych...and here's your bill for that awkward computer phone sex we did!" If I haven't already seen the Siri parody on the episode of Boondox, I would had enjoyed this a bit more, but up until the last Act, that's all I could think about. Instead, she went all Skynet and became self aware.

The movie didn't leave me with closure though.
Where the fuck is the scene where the President of OS1 walks into the company building frantic as shit as tech dorks finger fuck keyboards to a blue screen of death!?

"What do you mean the A.I. doesn't respond?!"
"Did it bugged out?! Were you fucking with it?"

Anyways, good film. A lot of good moments.

Spoilers will be in white text.

Short review: fedikofaredjjgvfsjrjfnhreoigvfjmrnioghjrlkgsmjflgdjg so fucking good.

Long review: John Goodman's performance alone sells this movie. Not to say it doesn't have other redeeming qualities. It's well-written, intense, keeps up the pace from beginning to end, the cinematography was fucking perfect, I have only a few issues with the movie, but more on that in a bit. Seriously, no wonder Star Wars 7 was so sub-par! This is his real contribution to the world for this generation of film-making! Okay, spoiler stuff below;

I'm sure a lot of people are wondering if it actually relates to the 2008 film in any way. Uhh, not really. The only legitimate connection is you see a Slusho logo in a store at the beginning of the movie. Slusho was never mentioned in the 2008 film, just in all of the viral marketing. It's the fictional Japanese company Rob was going to work for in the first film. The rest is all completely speculative, considering the ending. Like, who knows? Maybe the monster from the 2008 film is of the same planet as the aliens? Who really knows? Also, my only gripes are with the ending. It's a bit too corny. While I'm happy to see Hollywood get a third Ellen Ripley, it's kind of out of nowhere. She suddenly becomes this badass determined to stop this alien menace, because she was able to throw a molotov. Idunno, it was cool for that moment, but having it settle in is when I realized that's a bit too corny. Still, it didn't hinder my experience. Everything before that was fucking brilliant, and I definitely recommend it still.

Bring up the subject of countless famous musicians and athletes being drug-abusing, wife-beating rapists before talking about how someone's frowned-upon actions should effect their career (which his was).

Among the things celebrities do or SHOULD see repercussions from, I think beating up your bishop in the middle of a theater is near the bottom of the list. Yeah, it's gross, but minuscule compared to the horrible shit celebrities DO get away with.

Matthew Broderick was charged with vehicular manslaughter, and nobody fucking cared. Dude got away scot-free with that shit. And that's one of many examples I can bring up.

I'm not even crazy about Paul Reubens, but the shit people like to blow up about is just ridiculous.
